The Occupational Safety Competency Professional Certification Body Wins the 2025 Naker Award

The 2025 Manpower Awards, held by the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker RI), once again recognized national role models in the employment sector. At the awards ceremony, held at the Grand Ballroom of the JS Luwansa Hotel in Jakarta on Wednesday evening, November 26, 2025, one of the prestigious awards was won by the Occupational Safety Competency Body (LSP K3), which was named the Best Professional Certification Body (LSP) of 2025.

The event was attended by the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Yassierli, Ph.D., and high-ranking Ministry officials. The awards ceremony was lively, filled with appreciation for institutions, companies, and individuals who have contributed to improving the quality of the national workforce. At this year’s awards ceremony, the Occupational Safety Competency Certification Body (LSP) captured the public’s attention. The institution was deemed successful in ensuring the quality of competency certification for workers in the field of Occupational Safety and Health (K3), and was named the 2025 NAKER AWARD Recipient in the Best Professional Certification Body in Indonesia category.

This designation confirms

This designation confirms their role as an LSP that consistently produces competent workers, meets national and international standards, and is oriented towards a safe work culture. On that occasion, the Indonesian Minister of Manpower, Prof. Yassierli, Ph.D., also emphasized the importance of accelerating competency certification. “We have a responsibility to continue providing the best service in the competency certification process,” he said. Currently, only around 1.4 million workers are certified per year. He stated that certification is strong evidence of recognition for someone who already possesses adequate competency.

The Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Occupational Safety Competency Certification Body (LSP K3), R. Herjuna, S.A.P., M.Mu., a native of Bojonegoro Regency, expressed his pride and commitment to continuously strengthening the culture of occupational safety in Indonesia. In his presentation, R. Herjuna emphasized that the award is not merely a symbol of achievement, but a significant commitment to the future of Indonesian workers. “This award is not just a trophy. It demonstrates our commitment to the safety of every worker in Indonesia. We want to ensure that certified workers are not only administratively qualified, but also at the forefront of their commitment to Occupational Safety and Health (K3),” said R. Herjuna, also known as Kang Juna.

Strengthening Indonesia’s Workforce Through Certification Excellence

Following the prestigious win at the 2025 Naker Awards, the Occupational Safety Competency Certification Body (LSP K3) has reaffirmed its dedication to advancing the standards of workforce competence in Indonesia. The award highlights LSP K3’s proactive role in supporting the Ministry of Manpower’s agenda to enhance the quality and safety of labor through rigorous, nationally recognized certification processes.

Over the years, LSP K3 has become a strategic partner in bridging the gap between industry needs and skilled labor availability. Its certifications not only serve as a testament to a worker’s skills and knowledge in Occupational Safety and Health (K3), but also strengthen industry confidence in the nation’s human resources. By aligning their certification standards with both the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI) and international best practices, LSP K3 ensures that certified professionals are globally competitive and capable of contributing to sustainable industry development.

Looking ahead, LSP K3 plans to expand its reach to more sectors and remote areas of Indonesia. The goal is to increase accessibility to professional certification for workers across all regions, particularly in high-risk industries such as construction, mining, manufacturing, and logistics. These sectors continue to experience significant growth, and with that growth comes the demand for a competent and safety-conscious workforce.

Furthermore, the organization is also investing in digital transformation. Through online assessment tools and digital certification platforms, LSP K3 is working to make certification processes more efficient, transparent, and scalable. By doing so, they aim to contribute meaningfully to the national target of certifying more than three million workers annually.
